Senior Benefits Central is an advertising website. This policy explains what we collect, how it is used, and who it is shared with — including advertisers and marketing partners who may contact you.
The short version
If you submit a form or place a call through this site, your information is shared with third-party marketing partners and licensed agents, who may contact you by phone, text, or email. Advertising technology on this site may also constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under state privacy laws. You can opt out — see Your privacy rights.
Information you provide
Where this site offers a form, or displays a telephone number, the information you supply is collected for the purpose of connecting you with advertisers and marketing partners. Depending on the form, that may include your name, telephone number, email address, postal address or ZIP code, date of birth or age range, and general information relevant to the advertised product. Any form that requests this information will describe, at the point of collection, who the information goes to and what you are consenting to. Provide it only if you are comfortable being contacted.
If you telephone a number displayed on this site, the call may be routed through a call-tracking service, and the call may be recorded or monitored by the receiving party in accordance with applicable law. Call metadata such as your telephone number, the time and duration of the call, and the advertisement or page the number appeared on may be recorded for billing and attribution.
Information collected automatically
When you visit, our hosting provider automatically processes your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time of the request. This is used to deliver the site, maintain security, and diagnose technical problems.
We and our partners may also use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to measure traffic, attribute clicks and conversions to the advertising partner that generated them, limit how often an advertisement is shown, and deliver advertising based on your browsing.
How information is used
- To connect you with advertisers and marketing partners when you click, call, or submit a form.
- To attribute clicks, calls, and form submissions to the correct partner for billing.
- To operate, secure, analyze, and improve the site.
- To serve and measure advertising.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Who information is shared with
We share information with:
- Advertisers, insurance marketing organizations, licensed agents and agencies, and lead purchasers, when you click, call, or submit a form. These parties may contact you, and they may share your information further in accordance with their own policies. Once your information reaches them, their privacy policy governs it, not ours.
- Advertising and analytics providers, through the cookies and similar technologies described above. These act as independent controllers of what they collect.
- Service providers that host the site, deliver email, or provide call tracking, on our behalf.
- Legal recipients, where required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
- A successor, in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
Being contacted by third parties
Consent to be contacted is given to the third party at the point of collection, not to us, and any such consent is separate from this policy. To stop contact from a particular company, contact that company directly and ask to be placed on its internal do-not-call and do-not-email lists. You may also register with the National Do Not Call Registry at donotcall.gov, though registration does not stop calls from a company you have given consent to.
Senior Benefits Central does not itself operate a call center and does not make outbound marketing calls to readers. Calls you receive after responding to an advertisement come from our partners or theirs.
Cookies and your choices
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies; doing so will not prevent you from reading this site. You can limit interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance's YourAdChoices and the Network Advertising Initiative's opt-out page.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
No common industry standard exists for responding to browser "Do Not Track" signals, and we do not respond to DNT. Where applicable law requires, we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
Sale and sharing of personal information
Certain state privacy laws define "sale" and "sharing" broadly. Transferring your information to advertisers, marketing partners, or lead purchasers in exchange for compensation may constitute a sale of personal information, and the advertising technologies on this site may constitute sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, under those laws. We disclose this rather than rely on a narrow reading of the terms. You may opt out as described below.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you and how it is used and disclosed; to obtain a copy of it; to correct inaccuracies; to request deletion; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and a growing number of other states have such rights under state law.
To exercise any of them, email contact@seniorbenefitscentral.com with the request and the state you reside in. We will respond within the time applicable law requires. We may need limited information to verify your identity and will use it only for that purpose. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf where the law permits.
Two practical notes. First, for cookie-based advertising identifiers, the browser controls and industry opt-out tools linked above are generally more effective than a request to us, because those identifiers are held by the third parties. Second, if your information has already been transmitted to a marketing partner, we cannot delete it from that partner's systems — you will need to contact them directly, and we will identify the recipient on request where we are able to.
Email you send us
If you write to contact@seniorbenefitscentral.com, we receive your email address and the contents of your message, and use them only to respond and to record corrections. We maintain no marketing email lists. Ordinary email is not a secure channel, so please do not send sensitive personal information; sensitive details sent to us are deleted rather than retained.
Retention and security
Server and call-tracking logs are retained for a limited period for security, billing, and attribution. Records of form submissions are retained as long as needed for the purpose collected and to meet legal and recordkeeping obligations, including proof of consent where applicable. We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party sites
Advertisements and links lead to sites we do not control. Once you leave this site, this policy no longer applies and the destination site's policy governs. Read the privacy policy of any site you visit and of any company you submit information to.
Where this site operates
This site is operated in and intended for use in the United States. Information processed in connection with your visit may be stored on servers located in the United States.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or applicable law changes. Updates are posted here, and the date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
